Born in Québec, I have lived in Montréal since I was 10 years old. The cultural and spatial richness of the city has often inspired my creative practices. Photography and cinematography, which I have been practicing professionally for 7 years now, are my favorite mediums, and are a very important fondation for my work as a visual artist. It is the desire to push the limits of the photographic process, through computer editing and software manipulation that gave birth to the images you can see on this page. My work focuses on lighting, textures and especially colors, and is not dedicated to being concrete, but rather abstract. The photos on which I work, often by silver process, then later digital, are images of urban and natural materials transformed to obtain abstract results. The goal is to transform the tangible into the elusive, in order to highlight the importance of color in human feelings. I am driven by the idea of creative destruction and, just as the chaos theory suggests, minute changes lead to a complete, unpredictable and elastic transfiguration. This is what I try to transcribe in my work, in order to create emotionally moving images.
